Kaomoji data sources and licenses
Kaomoji Cove's searchable catalog combines licensed kaomoji collections with editor-selected additions.
The catalog includes the MIT-licensed kaomoji-collection by Kaomojiya and the MIT-licensed kaomoji-data by kaomojikan. It also includes editor-selected expressions. Kaomoji Cove decodes HTML entities, excludes multiline text art from the copy-ready catalog, and deduplicates identical one-line strings. The resulting count is shown on the Japanese homepage. The searchable catalog currently contains 37,411 distinct one-line kaomoji strings. Kaomoji Cove decodes HTML entities, excludes multiline text art from this copy-ready catalog, and deduplicates identical strings.
The sources are Kaomojiya’s kaomoji-collection and kaomojikan’s kaomoji-data. Both are published under the MIT License. Kaomoji Cove also includes editor-selected additions.
